What is ViennaUP’22?

ViennaUP’22 is a week-long festival for innovation and entrepreneurship that connects startups, investors, tech enthusiasts, and visionaries from all over the world. From May 27th to June 3rd, Vienna will host a variety of events for the startup community, which will allow you to connect with people from different fields while exploring the beauty of Vienna, as the events are spread all over the city. Vienna is known for its high economic strength, stability, easy access to top talent and excellent infrastructure. With its perfect location in the heart of Europe, Vienna is an excellent springboard for determined companies of the future. ViennaUP’22 offers a vast program comprising workshops, conferences and pitch events. The final of the Startup World Cup Austria will also take place at ViennaUP’22.

 

We summarized all Investors Events for you:

  • Born Global Academy | Demo Day (30.5. 11:30 am – 1pm):
    The Born Global Academy is the new multi-phase flagship program for Austrian scaleups on the way to new markets.
  • Connect Day (31.05. all day):
    Matchmaking event – Meet VC-ready startups, Austria’s leading VC funds and Business Angels to exchange, network and explore potential co-investment opportunities. 
  • Startup World Cup Austria Finale (30.5. 2pm-7pm):
    The Austrian finals of the Startup World Cup – the largest startup pitch competition in the world! Who is Austria‘s best startup? Listen to an inspiring keynote, meet the most promising startups from all over Austria and vote for your favourite! After the exciting pitches there is plenty of time to network and connect with like-minded people. 
  • AVCO Investors Breakfast (31.5. 08:30am – 10:30 am):
    Join the networking breakfast with Vienna-based VCs, PEs & Business Angels, and use your chance to team up for international co-investments.
  • Lead Today. Shape Tomorrow. (01.06. – 02.06.):
    Where startup & tech opinion leaders come together to contribute to an ecosystem with equal opportunities for everyone. Two days of inspirational keynote speakers, thought-provoking panels, engaging fireside chats, exciting startup competitions, and interactive breakout sessions.

What to do outside the events?

Vienna is a beautiful city and has a lot to offer outside of the Vienna UP’22 program. If you still need inspiration to pass the time in the most livable city in the world, we’ve put together a few tips for you here.

Get some time out between all the events and enjoy the sun in one of Vienna’s many quiet green Parks: 

  • Schönbrunn Palace
  • Belvedere Palace
  • Stadtpark Vienna
  • Burggarten

If you are looking for a fun evening activity go to Prater after the events and enjoy all the lights, rollercoasters and restaurants by night.

To let the evening end comfortably or take a break in between events there are several rooftop bars in Vienna where you have a beautiful view over the whole city. Enjoy a drink and watch the sunset or have a bite in the sun at rooftop bars like:
